- We’re almost done putting together our final mixes for the next Heart Gets Monkey CD. We have a few working titles, but nothing is settled yet, so I’m not going to bore you with the details. Look for copies — with a few surprises — to be available in May!
- We have also booked a number of fantastic shows for the summer and fall, including being confirmed for Spaghettifest 6. Visit our shows page for all the details, and thanks to all the fans who support us and “party like monkeys” at our shows!

So yeah, we’re playing at Shenandoah Pizza in a few days, and thanks to my mom, we noticed that there was a short article on newsleader.com. This marks the first time our name has been rendered incorrectly, but I bet it won’t be the last.
Thanks, Mom!

On the annual family trek to Nags Head NC, The Roz chills on the beach. We’ve seen dolphins, seagulls, pelicans, crabs and a sea turtle nest - but no monkeys yet! Well, just wait for the video of family building sand castle - we all look pretty monkey-like at least, ha ha ha.
Can’t wait to get back to the recording studio though!

So everyone once in awhile, Reverend Bill has been known to display other talents besides his music. He’s even been known to do some acting, and this past March, 2007, he appeared in the ShenanArts production of Harvey.
As I was going through some things, I found the program from that show. Reverend Bill kindly mentioned the band in his program credit, though for some unfathomable reason, they refer to him as “Bill Howard.” Here it is:

This was taken at a charity auction for the AIDS/HIV Services Group in Charlottesville. Reverend Bill and JeffMo seem altogether too happy about showing you the schedule of events, but you know how they are…

Did you see this news story from (where else) Arkansas –
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070418/ap_on_fe_st/monkey_drug_bust
In short, some really bright individuals had a huge stuffed monkey on their dashboard and police pulled them over because the windshield was obstructed. Po-Po smelled what they believed to be marijuana (do you think!?) and searched the monkey and found a shit-pile of pills. Seems they were mulin’ them across state lines. So they were busted. Shoulda had that monkey in a car seat!
Just goes to show … a mule and his monkey are soon guarded!

Add one letter and word becomes world.
Thanks.
I’m glad I inspired you. We had a fun practice this evenin and we’re all looking forward to the New Orleans Musician Relief Fund Benefit Concert at Holiday Inn’s newly-renovated-ballroom-with-bar -stations-and-plenty-of-room-and-good-vibes this Thursday 3/29. Though the order… nay the list of performers has changed several times so has the venue, so if you can track down this gig, it’s sure to be hot! Sun Dried Opossum is awesome! Sure to be a good time.
Next up, we’ll be back in Charlottesville at the Outback Lodge! (www.outbacklodge.com) - NOT the steakhouse and you can be sure The Roz won’t *steer* you wrong on that. Ar ar ar
I love hangin out wit theez guys! Djembe Jess and her girly smile and red socks and Bill Howard’s dirty toes and Keri K’s norweigian fiddle practice and JeffMo-Licious and the blender full o margarozzies or rozzaritas or whatever the heck they were. A while ago.
I love random neighbors too! Daniel and his friend - Daniel is so generous … and last night Snugs appears at the back door after returning from Miami, pumped, primed and smilin’ as usual.
Anyway, this is a bit ramblin … but y’know, they don’t call me Ramblin Roz for nothin! We’ll let you know which Tuesdays to look out for us in “the ville” because that was a rock-awesome good time! The sound was excellent and BC rocked it out man, including a Cellism solo to melt your mind and set your heart free. No cover, and tho it starts late, it goes til closing and you won’t even notice what time it is!
Loves ya all

After putting in a lot of work on getting our demo and press kit together, it’s starting to pay off. We’ve got shows coming up at Gold Crown Billiards, Mainstreet Bar & Grill, and on the JMU campus, preliminary confirmation that we’ll be playing on the main stage at SpaghettiFest this fall, and an upcoming review in the Waynesboro News-Virginian newspaper.
If you know somewhere that we should be playing, hit us up on our contact form, and we’ll be glad to send out a packet to the venue.
Keep it real, monk-a-loids, and watch for a lot more shows as the weather gets warmer! My dad told us today we should have “another Woodstock” up on his land this summer, so definitely check back to see if he was serious…….

Made with love at MoHole Studios in beautiful Harrisonburg
The CD has six songs (the six JeffMo listed) … and three of six are on our MySpace page…including a new mix of Vortex (Rev Bill) and two “girl-songs” (finally!) Black and White Dogs (J-Bergh) and Virginia Clay (moi)
Come on out to the SHOW SATURDAY at North River Grill (Dec 23rd) and if you’re real sweet, AND you dance for us, we might just give ya one. (Though they really are supposed to be for promotional purposes …)
I want to give our a special thank you to JeffMo, whose patient and masterful engineering made us all sound SO good. You are the sound-mo-gician, mix-master JeffMo, his MoLiciousness
No Doubt.
Merry Christmas to All !!
Love Roz
